Pure speculation here

If you look at the crash test the hood stays closed like it is part of the crumple zone. Most cars the hood pops up but not the Etron....

The D3 A8 has two hood latches. I supposed it was because of the width of the hood coupled with it being constructed of aluminum. On my D3 I learned to push down a little over the right side latch because that one didn't always lock on the first attempt.

Resurrecting this thread as many of us have recently taken or are about to take delivery. Would new owners please help us out by listing out anything else to look for when taking delivery? Thanks in advance!

I would try to identify the best Audi technologist at your dealership. This is the person who will review features upon delivery and then visit your home to set up garage doors, etc.

I had a couple misaligned clips in the front cupholder area, drivers side. I used a non-marring pry tool to quickly pop them back in place. Other than that, all good so far.

Bum headlight washer assembly on mine, does not retract after use.

The interior plastics on the center console are a bit crummy. They are quite hard and squeak and pop a little (same problem in my old Model 3, but 100x higher magnitude). I expect this will get worse over time unless I/they can figure out where to shove some felt bits to stop it.
