Not really, the US accounts for 11% or so of Audi global sales. US reservation number is on the high side, at 18%, if that number is correct.

But as your linked video commented, without knowing production rates (and possible market quotas), it's a bit meaningless at the moment.

Yah! I don't know how seriously to take it but it came from the dealer side response on a customer query. Not a clue where the info came from.

^^That looks epic.

In other news... These events (two happening next week in my area) are a bit of a disappointment.

As I understand it:
  1. Audi USA trucks the e-tron to the dealer
  2. The car is unloaded and put inside the dealer
  3. The car is left open for the event... but no keys are offered, and
  4. ...No-one is driving the car. Not the dealer, not the reservation holders, not the public.... Not as passenger or driver. None. The car is not US street legal.
  5. So, the only gain (for those that went to a car show recently) is to see the inside of the test car.

Hmm... I think I'll skip the event. Our dealer is purchasing a car, and I'll go when we can test drive.

How is that? The MMI, trim and everything else is the same, no? I agree on wheels... but the body, exterior and interior are similar?

I am actually leaning towards PP, not Prestige. An extra $7k, and the only thing I would really want is Dynamic Package (which is available elsewhere on the PP). If I am worried about range, last thing I need is massage seats and power closing doors. I can live without those items (and Heads up display) for an extra $5k.

What else would I be missing?

The second event I attended, I asked for the keys and they were handed to me. I was able to run through the menus, check out the B&O stereo, and run the air suspension up and down. The "crowd" was light and I had the vehicle all to myself for nigh on 45 minutes. Very worthwhile.

Awesome! How high is the "Off Road" air suspension mode? Does it seem like a nice jump? My S6's "Lift" isn't much.

I've spent far too much time on the configurator and looking at the order guide. As I look closer, it does become harder to justify the Prestige cost.

Are you looking at the Order Guide or just the configurator? The Order Guide has a couple of very nice to have additional items.
