Default Wheel size - 19 or 20 or 21 ?

Looking at the German Website on Range https://www.audi.de/de/brand/de/neuw...nchor273476721
as a function of speed, wheel size, driving type (auto, eco, efficiency) and temperature one can see that the range varies as a function of wheel size in a somewhat non-linear matter. In auto-driving mode there generally is a 9-14 km difference in range between each wheel size - even at low city speeds. The smallest wheel size is, of course, most efficient as the smaller, narrower tires have a lower rolling resistance.
I am wondering what the thinking is among future owners as to the selection of wheel size - is it mostly a preference for the looks, winter driving efficiency, esthetics, tire prices or?

(Looking at some e-trons today, at the Munich airport, I saw one with 22" wheels. They looked huge!)

I took the basic 19". Not a big wheel-fan, prefer spending my money on other options.

Me too, I went for e-tron for good ride and silence, and the roads are not good quality around here, thus small wheel, big tire is my preference.

20" is a nice compromise for ride, looks, and efficiency. Unfortunately, the US 20 offering is underwhelming. I went with the 21's, which IMO look great. Also, $1500 for a set of forged wheels is a great deal. If I can import a set of these 20's, the 21's will be retired.

I went with Galaxy Blue, Prestige and the 19 inch eco wheels. The 19s are not the best looking, but the smaller wheels have advantages: smoother ride, more efficient, less susceptible to pot hole damage, cheaper to replace. Give that the E Tron is almost 6000 lbs, it is going to burn through tires pretty quickly. The other options are better looking, but for me the advantages of the 19s outweigh the disadvantages. I always get a set of winter wheels for my cars and I go with the smallest that will fit.

I didn't see these wheels as an option on the configurator - what did I miss?

They aren't available to order in the US, only the 5 spoke is available here. I saw them at audi.de. I meant that I would like to buy them aftermarket and switch out the 21's I configured.

I'm with the 19" camp. Don't think they look very good, but increased pot hole protection for Houston's streets and greater replacement availability plus cheaper price win. Plus, the 19" tires are summer rubber. As I read the spec sheet, the 20" is all-season. Houston doesn't need all-season.

Same here. I didn't really want 21" wheels, but don't like the "hybrid car" look of the US-spec 19's and the silver-painted 5-spoke 20's didn't look great with the Galaxy Blue. Will likely go with a 19" wheel for the winter tires if I can find one that looks nice.

We just did an E-Tron with 24x10 all around! Once I have pics, I will be sure to post them. Definitely not everyone's style, but to each their own!
