Although I’m not in the market for a Etron, a good friend of mine is . When he told me they had one at a local dealer to me I went and took a look for him. The 21’s do look good in person. I can’t imagine they would put a heavy wheel on an electric vehicle.

Pleasure. Always worth seeking out the fine print on Audi wheels, as they usually sneek a few forged alloys in there for various reasons, but rarely price them (as upgrades/options) above cast wheels in the same size. You only get a sense of the Audi OEM's cost price when you look up the wheels' parts pricing. The forged wheels are invariably over $1000, each, with some double that.

Anyone know the OEM tire sizes for these e-tron wheels?

Actually, size, width, offset for all wheels (19", 20", and 21") as well as corresponding tires sizes for each is actually what I am looking for. If you know it?

Edit: found the following from German site. Everything except offsets...

The 20" wheels are most likely ET38, as that is the offset for e-tron's accessory 9Jx20 winter wheel, also fitted with 255/50R20 tyres. The 21" will have a different ET due to the 9.5" wheel width - Audi traditionally pull it in a little, so at a guess ET40 (which would still be outside the edge of the 9" wheel by around 4mm), but that is just speculation.

If I'm reading that right, there's quite a big price difference between the 20" and the 21" (150-1050 euro, 170-1190 USD). At some point I'd like to get a set of smaller aerodynamic wheels for road trips. I suppose that 19" would work unless there's a more aerodynamic option offered later.

You shouldn't use the German option pricing as a guide if you are in the US, it can be misleading. And if you are in the US, the difference between the 20" and 21" wheel is $1500/1800 depending on package level. That is the upgrade price of course, not the cost of the wheels. Any of these (forged) wheels will be very expensive to buy as a parts order, probably a $1000 or so starting price, each. Audi do make an 8Jx19 accessory wheel for the e-tron, which will be much cheaper to buy than a production fitted wheel. It is intended for winter use, is described as an "Aero" design, I think it is cast rather than forged, so if there is no weight advantage there is no real efficiency advantage. Aero efficiency from smaller wheels comes specifically from using narrower tyres with them.

This is more applicable to ICE vehicles. With EV's both the aerodynamics of the wheel and the rolling resistance are both important. Aerodynamics have a greater effect on overall efficiency for EVs because drivetrain losses don't contribute as much.

EV is ICE aero comparison

I just realized LavaGrau_A3 posted almost identical information a few posts back. Great mind think alike!
