I had this problem occur last year, where it would not clear up right away, until I had the "Tail Light" assembly replaced along with some firmware upgrade. After that is worked perfectly until the last couple of weeks. Now on rare occasions, I will shift into R and the blank screen shown above appears. However, so far, all I've had to do was to shift into D and back the R and the camera would come on. I don't know if it is related to colder temps lately.

This happened to me once a a few months ago (this was after my tail light was replaced). I had to reset the MMI by holding down the volume **** for 10 seconds. Turning the car off and back on was not enough. It has not happened since.

My Audi SA just got back to me- he said that they needed to update SW and adjust some camera parameters. Will pick it up tomorrow and update if any specifics were noted.

No TSB on MMI favorites resetting to factory default.

And just thought I might as well ask- extended range SW/TSB update- they haven't gotten back, but we all pretty much know what the response will be. LOL

Update: picked up eTron today: cameras seem to be working normal for now. No TSB/SW updates for resetting MMI shortcuts and no SW/TSB update for extended range.
