UK: New Battery update? 93N6

Hi all,

Can't seem to see any results on this one but was notified today there is a new update for the car: 93N6
Unfortunately the software side was down (no surprises !) so it could not be installed but most likely will now be installed on Monday

Any idea what it is about?
Can only see references on two sites (German and a Russian) to suggest it is a BMS related update and according to the RU site "principle of charging and battery consumption"

Note, I have had the recent mileage increase update already installed for the 2019/2020 models

Actually read the job-card for a change and there is a bit more detail:
A software update is required for the battery module control unit for cell voltage management balancing

How did you get this notification about 93N6?

I'd like to know if I contact my dealer if they will have information about it. My dealer is about 3 weeks out for appointments, so I'd like to schedule ASAP if I need any update applied.

I just picked up my e-tron 50 from the workshop.
In the invoice they've applied the 93N6 software update which they said was charging related.

About 1,5 months ago my e-tron was in for four days as it refused to charge at all.
Audi Germany had hands on with it and fixed a software issue, changing no physical parts and the car has behaved well since (except for a defective roof antenna giving warnings about the emergency call system).

Maybe my car is the reason for this update?
At least I like to think that ;-)

Looks like this service action (93N6) is for every cars. I just confirmed with the dealer that my car (early MY19) is effected (no notice in the myAudi app). I can see on the German e-tron forum that MY19,20 and 21 all reporting this update.

Correct - the My Audi app unlike the range update is not showing this one in there.
Unsure about the process in the EU and US but in the UK (or maybe it is Lookers group in particular) send you an email to essentially check the car in remotely so they know you ARE coming in with it.
Once you sign it, you get a job-card and it was on there it mentioned it as part of the ELSA checks

I certainly have not had any issues with charging so lets hope it does not cause any / develop new ones!

93N6 service action is for "software update battery module control units KRT.S1". According to the German e-tron forum it is new software for optimizing the battery cell balancing.

I've had this update completed a week ago, with the same commentary on balancing cells.

The results are that GOM now shows a range available of 245 miles in 18 degrees (Celsius).
