Which A3 Will I Get?
As best I can tell, Audi is producing two generations of the A3. It is continuing to produce Typ 8P, initiated in 2006, and also producing the new Typ 8V. The old version is still being marketed in the US, and will be for some months, apparently. The new one, however, is being sold all over Europe.
If I, as an American, was to buy an A3 through the ED program, am a limited to just the old generation? Or is the new generation available to me through ED?
New user, thanks!

You are limited to the US version. Even though you're picking a car up in Europe, it still has to be a model that's destined for US.
I wanted wheels that were offered to Canada and the UK. But I couldn't even have THAT swapped out during my Euro Delivery.

According to an email from Audi's ED folks today, it'll be a while before we can get an A3 via ED:
The Audi A3 is being redesigned and is currently not available for ordering or delivery until 2014. Once available, European models will not be available for delivery via the program.
