I am interested in ordering a Q5 for ED too. Are either of you doing it through your local dealer? Is there a price difference? The BMW video linked said they got 7% of of MSRP.

Have you check our Wiki first?
Why not just make a small effort of researching because this question was answering here more then 50 times.

Yes, I have read through many of the threads. I was hoping for more specific responses on pricing from the OP because he indicated he was interested in purchasing a Q5 as well -- like if he was able or trying to get more than 5% off MSRP than listed on the Audi website. Sorry if that wasn't clear. I appreciate all the info available in the ED section from a lot of posters. Specifically, after viewing your pics and experiences, it made me more intrigued.

I want to do the ED with warmer weather between May-September, when winter tires are not required.

I am hoping AoA releases details of the 2014 model year by March of 2013...

If a TDI model is available I will wait for it and order first possible date for ED, but if no TDI will be coming for 2014 I will order a 2013 model for early summer.

Because the 3.0TDI would give me the fuel efficiency and power, which would be the perfect combination. I would love the Hybrid - but it has 2 things going against it. 1) Long term reliablity/replacement costs of batteries 2) NO SLine available...

I am trying to avoid going to the dealership's until February, so I can hold off on the want to buy right then and there, but I will go and test drive all the second place competitors for sure. the Way I would configure the current Q5 would be 52-55kish MSRP.

Competitors that I am going to atleast test drive: Audi AllRoad(I have not seen it in person yet), Mercedez GLK, BMW X3/X1(NO ED Available), Volvo XC60 R Design, Acura RDX, Lexus RX450H/RX350, Range Rover Evoque, Cadillac SRX and Lincoln MKX.

Correction - BMW X1 ED available, same apply to Volvo.
Rest of your post pretty good observation. Regarding price - it's up to your dealer and your negotiation skills.

Pricing is based on your skills in negotiating with the dealer like you would for a regular purchase. And yes I did get more than 5% off MSRP for my 2013 S4. So the listed 3-5% off is just the minimum rather than a definite.
