If you dropped off your car on 20 Aug there is no way it will arrive in SD on 4 Sept. Maybe in US by mid Oct if minimal ports stops..

Sorry it's set to arrive in San Diego on 9/24 - not 9/4. A typo on my part, but so far tracking the ship I don't think that's very realistic.

Final delivery info is highlighted below. If I had to do it again I would do European Delivery. I did give the ED team some feedback on the lack of information along the way. They indicated that an update system is in the works which should help participants get updated info on where they are in the process.

Yup I agree. Thanks for sharing. While communication was decent whenever I reached out to European Delivery or my own dealership, I think Audi could improve the process by providing more updates on their own. When you decide to go ED, you want to go through the whole process. It's the whole anticipation that makes the journey that much more exciting than simply picking up a car off the lot. Something as simple as automated emails or a system that allowed us to check the status of our car throughout the entire process would make it even better.
While it can be stressful at times, you just have to be patient with the process, but the overall experience is definitely worth the time and effort. The adventures and stories from our vacation alone made it all worth our while. |
