My lease is up in August 08, and that will coincide beautifully with my 10th anniversary. We were already planning a trip to Germany to see relatives in September 08. The question is, how soon can I order the car for ED? I'll be using award miles, and I anticipate I'll need to make the reservations more than 60 days in advance.

Going to go S4 this time, just need to talk the wife into Imola yellow!!!

By then you might be able to get the B8 A4... I wouldn't get the S4 then... unless you can get a great deal.

You'll have to go without a car for a couple months... if you take the trip in September the car won't come stateside for another month or so.

Not too worried about the shipping delay, the wife will have to make do with the Suburban for a month or so. I have a work provided car so it's not that much of a problem.

I can see the problem already of availability. The B8 S4 wont be out by then. Won't they be shutting down production to re-tool for the B8? That's why I'm trying to line the ducks up now.
