RS3 European Delivery

Back from Germany
We completed our trip recently and it was really great. Thank you everyone for your input and help making this trip successful.
We ended up modifying our trip slightly and here's how it ended up:
Day 1: Arrived late in Munich (LAX->MUC)
Day 2/3: Munich activities (Marienplatz, Hofbrauhouse, BMW Museum)
Day 4: Drive to Inglostadt, Pick up RS3, Factory tour, Food. Drive to Salzburg, Mozart performance + dinner
Day 5: Eagle's Nest tour (boys), Sound of Music tour (girls) + Salzburg city walk / food
Day 6: Drive from Salzburg to Schloss Linderhof to Fussen largely via Alpenstrasse (vindaloo's GPS points came in real handy!).
Day 7: Neuschwanstein castle visit in the morning then long drive to Nurburg (6 hours), (Dorint Am Motor-racing hotel)
Day 8: Two laps on the Nürburgring Nordschleife (late afternoon) then drive to Brussels
Day 9: Brussels city tours, chocolate tour, etc.
Day 10: Drive to Amsterdam (with a detour at Dreilandenpunt)
Day 11/12: Drop off RS3 at Amsterdam terminal, Amsterdam canal & city tours, late flight back to Munich
Day 13: Morning flight from Munich back to LAX
RS3 odo at drop off: 1865km (~1160mi)
The main change from our original plan was to get to the Nürburgring earlier due to the fact that our ideal day there would have been Saturday but the track was not open to the public that Saturday. That decision forced us to skip Switzerland and then split the remaining time with Brussels and Amsterdam. Otherwise, we were pretty much as we planned.
We didn't run into too many problems either. A little bit of rain in Munich limited our activities but otherwise things went pretty smoothly. There are too many other details for me to list but if you have specific questions please let me know.
Again thanks for everyone's help making this a success!

According to the tracking that Audi provided me, the ship transporting our RS3 is in the middle of the Atlantic. It's scheduled to arrive in San Diego on 9/8, and then it will take some number of days (up to two weeks?) before it reaches our dealership.

I could be wrong but my assumption is that the ship is moving but when it's in the middle of the Atlantic it actually looses its internet connection. So we have to go for a few days without seeing any movement. One of the reasons that I suspect this is if you look at the maps you don't see *any* ships out in the middle of the Atlantic. All the ships you see are near land, presumably connected to the internet.
Besides, the estimate for San Diego is 9/8 so I'm just counting on that schedule anyways.
Honestly, it's weird to think that our European trip is over. We waited a long time just to get our car at the factory, and that was like a month ago for us now.
