Sudden decrease MPG
I noticed that I can drive only 300mi on one tank and it used to be 330-350. Any thoughts why?
- O2 sensor replaced 1.5 ago with universal;
- techron injector cleaner last winter;
- new spakplugs 1 year ago;
- cleaned EGR 1 year ago;

I thought they were 14mm...
Or maybe 18?? What I did was just took my stock cooler lines and the new oil cooler to the hose fab shop, picked out the line I wanted to use, and the guy rifled through boxes of male fittings, trying to match the male to the female side of the stock oil cooler line. Once he found them, he matched the female size and used those for the lines.
I guarantee if you take the stock lines and your oil cooler they will get it right. Also, make sure you measure how long the lines need to be and don't add that much extra for play, as you want the lines to be right-on. I used bailing wire to match up lengths. Also, pay close attention to the orientation of how the oil cooler sits and how you want the lines to come out of the cooler...strait, 45 or 90. It makes a huge difference. Good luck. Even if you think you know the sizes, take EVERYTHING with you...
That way, they have it there, and if something doesn't fit, it's not on you, because they had it there to check. Even though I knew my oil cooler had AN8 fittings, I wasn't taking that chance.
