Air conditioner vibrations. Not " good vibrations"

Air conditioner compressor makes a rattling noise when the clutch kicks in and power drops accordingly due to the load. Brought it to the local firestone to check out(no comments please). The cold air reading was 14 degrees F which is way below the lowest temperature stated in the Bentley manual of 27 F. Firestone stated that the "colder the better" but there must be something going on that causes this extremely low temperature which may be a cause for the vibration.
Comments greatly appreciated.

Re: Air conditioner vibrations. Not " good vibrations"

my car does the same thing, vibrates a bit, but then gets really cold so i'm not going to mess with it, till it goes out on me (hopefully a long time from now) firestone?????????? man if there is one thing i have learned dealing with my S-car, stay away from shops like grease monkey that don't know anything about these cars. Once they left off the plastic piece under the engine, and they couldn't fix a fuel leak that was just a simple hose, that cost $40 total at my audi shop.
go to a good audi/porsche shop, worth the $$$ trust me. at least that is my 2 cents
