Is it common for the interior wood driver door trm to crack?

I have noticed that a few of the S-cars i have looked at have had cracked interior wood door trim on the driver door? Is this common?

don't know about the wood, but my pass. carbon has a crack in it.

due to a friend who thinks you have to slam car doors shut!

Yes.

Careless drivers throw the seat belt off them, and that's the part of the door that gets smacked by the buckle.

I also have carbon door trim that is cracked. It all occured over a period of time that involved a rough driveway which caused a bit of chassis twist. This combined with consistent subzero temperatures cracked them all, including the dash piece.
