Any specific time when he will be running at NE dragway?

Would love to watch in person, hearing it run live.

lately we've been running Wednesdays during the day

at NED about $100 buys you all day of pretty much as many runs as you can line up for (this is before street night starts). The guys that are going for licensing and practicing launches/etc are usually there, typically no more than a dozen race cars.

We might stay for street night a few times as well, I'll try to announce when I'll be at the drag strip ahead of time.

Marc, aren't those straps goig to lift the front wheels off the ground?

I'd try some stiffer springs first. Convert his struts to simple GC coilovers on the cheap and you can swap springs around easily, until you find what works best.

Here is my launch at one of the Autox's last year. Grnated, I don't do 3K rpm clutch drop but I do try to take off quick. And of course, whole 130whp of furry!
450# rear springs, nothing behind front seats is left in the car, as you know.

And here is the car at what i would say stationary height...I'm accelerating but it's fairly long straight so car should be pretty level....just for ref.

the game is a bit different with > 500whp :)

with very stiff rear springs and compressed fronts, the idea is to keep the nose angled forward at the line, making it less likely to point the nose at the sky...

Oh I'm sure...but I'm thinking straps in that video above would have resulted in front wheels off

a4kquattro 01-29-2009 07:41 AM

without the stiffer rear springs, yes

and by stiffer, I'm talking like 1000lb rears..

jesus. good luck in any case.

That car can roll its wheels really fast on the dyno.

|skolnick 01-29-2009 09:20 AM

kinderutz 01-29-2009 11:39 AM
