Default Fuel pump issue

I accidentally cut the black feed fuel line under my car the other day so I bought a rubber hose to replace the bad segment, was running fine even with the partially cut fuel line, just spit fuel out.. After replacing, I started the car, it ran for a few seconds then died and would not start after... I do not hear my fuel pump anymore, nor am I getting any to the fuel rail, disconnected the rubber fuel line and it trickles fuel but no pressure. Did I burn out the fuel pump, or is there some sort of reset procedure for it??

I've replaced the fuel pump but not sure I'm knowledgeable enough on the subject to know why you're having problems. My first "guess" would be perhaps there's air in the hose that needs to be worked out somehow. When you turn the key, if the engine is spinning fast enough, it triggers the fuel pump. I wouldn't "think" the fuel pump would burn out if it was submerged in fuel the entire time, but that's just a "guess". Not sure how much cranking you've done, but I'd wonder if I just need to crank it enough to somehow get the line full of fuel. Also not sure if you're parked on a hill or not, but that could possibly help run an air bubble 1 way or the other, if that's the issue. If so it might take a few hours to make a difference.

Sorry to ramble, just thinking out loud. I replaced mine at about 175k miles, and the new pump was about $120. It isn't a very difficult job, especially if your tank is low on gas.

You probably have a dead fuel pump. You need to confirm this by testing the fuel pump. This is in the first part of this C4 UrS Fuel Pump replacement DIY:

The test harness looks like this:
