Default I think I have a bad coil/POS

My symptoms are a sputter at fullish boost. Stops when I let off. The sound is like a "farting" sound out of my stromung- (lack of better words). The sputter is constant- until I let off.

Does this sound like a bad coil or POS?

The test procedure is simple enough and it has been written up. Search on "coil test"

I just searched "Coil Test" from Aug. 1 to today and got 18 hits. About 14 are relevant. Read them.

Default I currently have almost the exactly the same problem, I used a coil tester....

that I got at Autozone and it led me to the third coilpack. Its probably a coilpack causing the problem as I was told they will often first show symptoms under load....good luck!

Default How difficult is the coil tester to use?

Is it a problem to use it when my miss is only at high boost?

Default It's simple.

Basically you test each coil. All will test out OK. But if you test them repeatedly while gradually widening the gap on the tester each round, eventually one will fail.

Unplug the fuel pump relay or fuel injectors before you begin.
