For the past week only, almost every time I start my 95 S6, it starts normally, but certain accessories do not come on: power windows, A/C, headlights (parking lights & dash lights do come on). Shut it off & restart & it is OK.

What is going on?

Dave, I read your post of 12-2013--sounds like a failing ignition switch.

Can a new one be bought??

Yeah, good place to start. Most suggest OEM. Seems the last one I bought was ~$120.

It's fairly easy to remove the instrument cluster to get back there and loosen a couple small set screws.

Yes they can be bought and they should be bought at an Audi dealership to avoid cheap knock-offs.
