OEM Audi Phone Setup Questions
<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/37457/myphone1.jpg"></center><p>Just aquired a hands-free, voice activated dialing Audi phone (voice recognition and voice dialing of pre-programmed memory numbers).
Was wondering if anyone knew how to set it up properly. All i can figure out how to do is change from UserA to UserB, whatever that does?
any help is appreciated!

that bastard phone...
is a pain in the ***.. as far as i know unless your familar with cellular phones and how to tweak and modify them you cant get the phone to work unless your signed up on from what i believe audis phone plan.. which would mean you have service thru audi.. im not 100 percent sure of this but i have the speaker kit in my car but not the handset
im currently making an adaptor so i can just use my regular phone and plug it into my speaker connection.. i have a phone plug under my armrest
in any case let me know what happens

Re: that bastard phone...
I do not know how to set the Motorola-based phone up but you do not have to join "audis phone plan". You do have to join a plan that is based on analogue phones. There may be some issues "unlocking" the phone but the service plan rep's know lots of tricks. Once it is set up, the hands-free voice activated dialing feature is great, i.e. nobody knows you are on a cell phone. You just look like any other idiot talking to themselves.
PS - IF you do go the digitial way, there used to be a tech procedure for a Nokia either here at Audiworld or at www.UrS4.com (I think here)

its a cool phone...
.. i had it unlocked for awhile, now i locked it by mistake and can't unlock it again.
You can sign up with any analogue service, phone is made by motorola.
Found a great link on how to program and setup all the cool features...
Now if i could only unlock it!<ul><li><a href="http://www.elektro.com/~audi/phone/">http://www.elektro.com/~audi/phone/</a</li></ul>
