Default From Pg. J24-2 in the Bentley: Blue = Harness connector for G66 Knock Sensor. This...

could be the source of your 2144 code.

Default Did you rip the outer black sheathing, can you see any wiring inside?

If so then this could surely be causing the knock sensor issue. This is the wiring with the blue plug on it? That is one of the knock sensors.

Default SWEET, found the source of my problems. the wiring is ripped from the sheathing.

the problem is that i right the bottom part, not top portion of the connector, so I may have to goto the junkyard and find a similar connector with some wires hanging off so I can re-attach it.

Default Knock sensors are shielded 3 wire, it's a weird setup and can't be easily spliced or repaired...

because the 3rd pin on the plug is a ground reference and shield. If you pull the boot back you'll see a clear sheath over a silver colored wire going into a pin, that wire becomes the outer shielding in the sensor wire. If the wiring for the knock sensor is damaged you should just grab a new knock sensor, they aren't too pricey at all.

If the wiring on the harness is damaged that is a whole 'nother ball game because that all becomes shielded just like the knock sensor when it goes back into the harness.

Cheers,

Default correction, i only only damaged the knock sensor side, i feel I can splice though

i was going to goto a junkyard to try and find another 3 pin connector with some leads on it. the shield doesn't bother me, it's really no different than making RCA video/audio cables. They use 1 signal and 1 ground/shield wire.

Do you know the pinout for the 3pin connector though? which pin does what? I'm also try to not remove the intake manifold because I don't have hex keys long enough and i think its much easier to solder 3 wires than remove the IM.
