And there it was staring me in the face ... cause identified ... anyone got a spare shifter ?

The cause of my Apikol short shifter problems is clearly the shift rod rubbing against the trans. Either because it's bent or because the trans installation is different.

Anyone got a spare they can loan me for a few days so I can get the shape right ?

Notice the wear marks where the shift rod is rubbing. Obviously that's evidence of mechanical interference preventing it from going into reverse and 1st.

Anybody got spare trans and motor mounts so he can shove everything back to normal?

I doubt that your problem is a bent rod. More likely that the engine/trans is twisted in the chassis because of dead mounts.

As usual ...

your assertions are unwelcome on my posts.

New motor mounts were replaced prior to tranny engine swap. Mounts are still in excellent low miles condition.

Trans mounts were replaced with S6+ mounts during tranny swap. I still have the stock mounts and there's no substantial difference.

There may be something else wrong with the setup, but borrowing mounts is not what I want - DO NOT change my requests for me.

BTW: Maybe if you tried phrasing your comments as question you would come off less like an obnoxious a$$ ?

As usual, you present info AFTER the fact. I still maintain your tranny is too far to the left.

And I will respond to any posts made by any one if I feel that I can contribute a possible solution.

SO FYYFF.
