Thoughts on labor hours...........
So I'm going to have a lot done to my car in the next 8 or so weeks and I was quoted 30 hrs in labor for the following:
1. Clutch/Flywheel/Slave
2. Trans/Motor Mounts
3. Rods
4. EM install w/ DP and turbo/lines
5. Cams
6. Head gasket w/ ARP studs
7. Fuel Pump and injectors
8. Timing belt will also be done w/ water pump, thermostat, etc.
Thoughts? Seems pretty reasonable to me.

Sounds really fair, one guy working on it for about three days.
We work four tens. I could see charging about 30 hours for that much for that work. On big jobs where there are lots of multiple tasks we give the customer a break on the total hours charged. I think most good shops do if they want the customer to come back.

Agreed.........
plus I'd have to think that some of it actually will make the job easier like removing the EM/turbo before he pulls the head, motor mounts will be really easy w/ the head pulled and same for the trans mounts when the trans is dropped, etc. I'm sure that much of what has to be replaced would have to come off anyway.
