Default Throttle cable part #'s needed (black clip)

Recently I had an unintended acceleration problem caused by the failure and snagging of the throttle cable attachment parts - that'll teach me to stomp like that again! I'd like to get it all back to original OEM parts and need some help finding that black plastic piece. I have a clip but I'm not sure what else I need. If anyone has a decent photo of what it should look like and the part numbers, that would be great. ETKA A10Q 94 7 21 illustration 721-60 isn't helping me much. Thanks!

Default BTDT

I actually had the same issue several years ago now. WOT in 2nd gear and the throttle stuck to the floor after the same plastic piece broke and wedged preventing the throttle cam from returning.

I checked the deal and they informed me I'd need a new throttle body to get just that part. LOL.... did I mention it costs about the same as overthrowing a small island nation? Yup.

My solution was to say to hell with plastic. I bought the steel throttle cam from 034 which eliminates the stupid plastic bit. It isn't cheap but steel is real as they say.

S-CARSGO is right about that plastic piece coming with a new throttle cable only.

It has never been available separately.

What I don't understand is the 034 metal throttle piece.. the black plastic piece still attaches to it.... so IDK how it will help you (or anyone? maybe it attaches the cable differently...)

I had the exact same breakage from flooring the gas pedal too hard. Others have as well.

The best solution is to use zip ties to hold it in place. My cable would fall off all the time after it broke, but now (4 years) later with 2 zip ties it is on there and is very solid and yet to be an issue.

If you search this forum you should be able to find a picture of the zip ties, but basically you just make them hold the black piece onto the *** it sits on... 2 was all it took for me, and like I said it is on there very securely

Here is my cable looking just like yours.
