Anyone enable active lane assist on their Q8?
 

Anyone with OBD11 figure out how to activate ALA on the Q8? I've tried everything for the B9 S4 and some codings are missing which I surmise is why I can't get it to work.

I have the hardware to enable this, but I haven't quite figured out how to configure the software to do just this!

I just enabled it on my Q8 (no driver assistance package) . I first used the same coding of the A4 forum and it didn't work. Then I was trying to activate the Traffic sign recognition ( that also didn't work ) and I might have changed something that made lane assistant work. Unfortunately I haven't documented all the changes I made.
It works perfect. My Q7 had it and this one is even better.

Try to follow the steps to activate Traffic sign recognition to see if that works. Be careful to backup your changes as there are many different codings in the forums.

Can you please post your OBD11 history? It will tell you/me/us everything you did to enable it!

Just reading through the log I do see you changing adaptations and some long coding. I do also see a bunch of long coding lines with an old value: and a new value: where there were changes in things like

Do you remember doing things like that? It might be an artificial remnant caused by OBD11 doing its thing, but just thought I'd ask! Thanks again!

All those crazy long codings you are seeing are generated by OBD after the much simpler changes that we make are saved to the car. Once the simple codings are saved the OBD app generates these long drawn out versions of the changes.

@aechazu , so I can reverse engineer your steps for the traffic sign recognition, when did you get it to work? Nearer to today or nearer to the beginning? E.g. before or after ALA worked on your car?

I never got the Trafic sign recognition to work. While trying I got lucky and got the active lane assist.
It's great that you were able to do it with all that mess in the code I sent .
Please share if you get the traffic sign to work .

I will! That said what functionality are you hoping to get? Eg be able to reference the speed limit or to have the car slow down to the limit? I know many D5 owners have gotten annoyed with that so turned it off!
