Default Anyone replace brakes yet

I know this is a new model but I wonder if anyone replaced their brakes yet? Curious at what mileage this was required. I know there are a lot of variables but I’d like some real world experience. Parts and labor cost and mileage when work was performed. .

I know audi brakes are expensive. Close to 3k for all 4 corners with rotors. Dealer service said some customers get into the high 30K or low 40k on one set in the Q7 and it’s the same parts for the Q8. That’s a lot of mileage and I’m skepticle.

Thanks

I traded in my Q7 with 26K and didn’t need new brakes or tires. I replaced 4 tires and brakes with rotors on my A8 at 32K.

I don't think rotors need to be replaced as frequently as recommended by VAG (across Audi and Porsche). It makes sense to replace pads within 30-50k depending on usage, but not rotors.

I think this is a hard question to answer as it depends vastly on the use of the car. You can have someone drive a lot of highway miles and not have to squeeze the brakes so much but also have someone with low miles who slams on the brakes a lot. You can (not saying many, if any would do this) track the q8, rack up a few miles, but those brakes would be spent after that (roughly).

Huh? There is a stated/definite disk thickness wear limit which is determined by measurement. That is clearly not a frequency recommendation. How did you come to that conclusion?

Will find out in a couple years. But coming from driving stick-shifts earlier in life I am very easy on the brakes and let the engine bring me to a stop. Even with automatics. I also drive like a grandpa which helps. Other brands automatics I can usually squeeze 60-70k out of a set of brakes. Replaced set of Mazda CX-5 front brakes at 65k. If there isn't already, wont there be a NAPA part for the brakes on the Q8? I remember my 2001 A4(stick) we used NAPA branded brake pads and it was pretty cheap.
