Default MPG much lower than the Q7?

How is it that the Q8 shows MPG of 17 and 22 mpg, while the Q7 shows 19 and 25. That is a huge difference - both with 3l engines.

Turbo 3.0 vs supercharged might have something to do with it

That’s possible but that engine in the 4400 lb SQ5 gets mileage much better than the EPA estimates in Comfort mode. That engine is also rated at 354 HP. More weight would make a difference but not that much. Wondering if there has been another change to the way those numbers are calculated.

In my SQ5 I just drove 103 miles averaging 43mph and only got 21.8mpg.

That’s crazy! Ours was a May 2017 build & I can easily get 20-23 City; 23-25 highway 80mph+ & easy driving in the 50’s about 25-30+. Best about 33 for over 100 miles in the mountains. That’s in Comfort mode...Dynamic is lower. Aggressive driving obviously lowers those numbers. Today I averaged 17ish city in Dynamic driving aggressively with above average idle time but that’s unusually low.
That’s not all calculated-when I checked actual it was lower about 4%. I am pushing 20,000 miles and have Michelin All Season Tires. Maybe we got lucky with ours.
