Are those OEM though? I’ve seen people say aftermarket lights aren’t as bright.

Thanks
They are ~$180 for 2 at an Audi dealer. Take the flat blade screwdriver in your trunk and just gently pry out the old light (only comes out from one side, if there is difficulty use the other side), unplug and then plug in the new one.

That's crazy that they are cheaper buying afterwards from the dealer than as original equipment.

The rings are nice looking but I have to say I have been most impressed with the lights that come from the outside handles that shine around car when approaching.

Most of the port installed options can be purchased after for cheaper (sometimes significantly) - even the 7-pin connector for the towing package.

The puddle lights look amazing - really good quality and are one of the easiest mods to do to the car.

Most of the cars, not just Q8s at our dealer seem to have the FRONT only Audi Beam Rings -- on the cars the dealership receives from AoA, the rings are on the MSRP @ $450 (front and rear.) My sales-rep popped the feature into our new Q8 and my '18 S4 and my wife's '18 SQ5 (as part of the deal.) I'd say it took longer to talk about them than it did to install them.

I would have to assume that @ $450 there must be a hefty profit margin, so maybe AoA wants to include as many as possible. It seems customers (like us) do want the feature. I don't know how many of us would pay $250 for the fronts or $450 for all four doors, though. But, I have seen ZERO Q8s without the towing hitch "package." Our "justification" was "resale" (or trade in) value. Sure, that's possible, but the truth of the matter is that we've NEVER seen a Q5, Q7 or Q8 towing anything behind it.

Were I to order a new Q8, I'd "pass" on this feature. Again, I assume there is some decent margin in the hitch and god knows Audi needs margin.

I ordered mine with the towing package for the off chance we will tow something (the GT3 is not fun to drive on long trips to Porsche events). Also, the dealer said that installing the tow hitch after delivery was much more expensive than ordering from factory. Not sure this is totally true but after some brief research of forums it does seem more expensive to do it that way.

It is definitely less expensive to get the tow package factory installed not to mention the wiring / coding involved that not all dealers are proficient at. The hitch receiver is installed at the factory but the 7 pin connector is added at the port.
I never tow anything but I always get the tow package primarily for the added protection it provides in a rear end collision. Not foolproof but it’s an extra layer - besides, it messes up the other guy’s bumper &/or hood

I hate to admit this but you lost me with how you do this? Pry the old light which old light. I don't have rings on my car to begin with. I don't want to mess with something that is over my head. Just wanted some input on this and where I'm at with this. Thanks for you input.
