Of course the US has that button - its to shut off the dreaded stop/start system. But you have to hit it everytime you start the car - it has no memory. (See correction above)

I didnt mean the button on the bottom left (Ididnt see his circle) - I meant the button on the dashboard. I dont have the switch on the console either. I would guess they do the same thing

The one below the parking brake is for auto hold. Auto hold will hold the car and keep the brake lights on at a stop without you keeping your foot on the brake.

Really miss this ‘auto hold’ feature but have found a work around for it. My previous Porsche Macan GTS had auto hold which was activated by and extra firm push on the brake pedal when stopped. I have adapted to the Q8 by just pulling back on the cruise handle which applies the brakes when stopped...I assume it also keeps the brake lights on but will confirm in the morning.
