Default Driver assistance package

I am building a Q8 and getting conflicting info from 2 dealers that claim they know better.

Dealer 1 said Audi pre sense that is standard on the premium plus stops the car to avoid impact at 25 mph and below. And at speeds above 25 and up to 52 MPh it will slow the car down by 25 miles per hour unless you assist to avoid collision. The above will warn you if your closing in on a car a 53 mph up to 100 mph but no brake is automatically applied. To get braking assistance on forward crash avoidance at speeds over 53 mph you need to purchase the drivers assistance package.

Desler 2 says driver assistance will not help over 53 mph.

I called audi and they said to contact a dealer and that’s what I did but I have a conflict.

My infiniti warms and brakes all the way up and down the speed zones listed above although it will never bring to a full stop.

will anyone who knows please respond and if possible like a document thanks.

I have never heard of it not working above a certain speed. The 25mph decrease in speed appears to be if no driver intervention and it gets to that stage.

Sounds like the limits talking about are the ability to completely avoid accident. Sounds to me like at speeds above that approaching a stationary object impact is inevitable but the Audi will reduce speed as much as able. Of course at highway speeds I have the adaptive cruise on which maintains a safe distance from car in front to avoid accident if they slam their brakes.

Thanks guys. I’ll watch the videos when I get home. Appreciate the posts.

Have a a great night. I’ll be adding driver assistance, year one and matrix leds to the P+.
