Default Flat bottom steering wheel

Does anyone know if you're able to have the Audi flat bottom steering wheel installed for the US Q8? I don't know if that's a special request thing or for Euro market only.

That’s the wheel that comes with the Euro S-Line. US doesn’t have S-Line trim except for YR1 but YR1 has no interior elements of the European S-Line such as sport seats w diamond stitching and flat bottom wheel.

I was pretty frustrated when I realized all of the pretty interior bits on the show cars were not coming to the US version. I assume S or RS will get them.

You can probably source the flat bottom wheel from someone like europrice. The one caveat is that Audi generally makes you pick between steering wheel heat and flat bottom. Not sure if the Q8 is that way but pretty much every other model is.

Yes, I find it pretty annoying that flat bottom doesn’t get heat. It’d be really nice to have a heated steering wheel in winter on my RS5 here in New England!

Oh wow that's a learning point. I didn't know that the flat bottom doesn't get heat. I guess which do you really want more. I got the cold weather package just for that heated steering wheel. If only the flat bottom had that function as well.... I would have got that and those quilted stitched S seats are just toooooo sexy.

It's not just Audi. I seriously considered the AMG GLE43 Coupe before deciding on the Q8, and it's the same deal. Flat bottom steering wheel = no heat.

I ordered a GLE Coupe with heated steering wheel. I was expecting a flat-bottom wheel and was disappointed 2 months later when the car arrived with a round steering wheel. Lesson learned.

I would trade my heated wheel for this any day!
