Front License Plate Removal & Filler Help
 

Does anyone know 1) how to remove the front license plate bracket (US car) and 2) if there are any fillers for the 2 rectangle cutouts that are behind the plate bracket and will be visible once the bracket is removed? When I try to remove the bracket I get all of the screws out, but there are two tabs that lock the bracket onto the back side of the grille. I cannot figure out how to get the tabs to release and I do not want to break the grille. Thank you.

You need to order the filler pieces from the dealer. Around $120 for both. Just have the dealer remove your front bracket and install the fillers. Audi sales associate that posts here said the bracket is a major pita to get off.

just did that to my car on Saturday. Removal was a bit tricky, to get the license plate bracket to release from the "slots" in the grill, but using a small, thin screwdriver got it done. The 2 new plates snap right in. $120 for 2 credit card pieces of plastic.
