This doesn’t work on my Q8 with the tow assembly unfortunately. Will mention it when I take it for servicing.

Works everyone for me now - with tow ockage. Quick kick under bumper at that spot. Step back away and a second later it opens.

Swift kick in and out. And of course with key on you.

Mine had to be replaced. It didnt work from day one ... bad module. It seems that they are multiple versions of the antenna on 2019 Q8s; shirt and a longer one. I'm now able to open it if I touch the left side of the bumper. The manual says not to touch the bumper ... go figure ... design flaw.
It's pretty crappy for a vehicle this expensive! Dealer is not sure if there will be a recall to replace the antenna with the newer one or not.

Mine works fine, but you have to give it a second. Think it's a safety thing so it doesn't swing up and hit you if you are too close.

It won't work if too close to any shrubs or objects that are moving around.

The Tucson dealer advised me that it won't work if you're close enough to the car for the hatch to hit you as it goes up. Apparently stepping back is the key.
