My New Addition
I have been following this forum closely, including the debate between the Q7, Q8 and the new BMW X5. I am semi-retired and no longer need a 3rd row. I loved the way my Q7 handled with the adaptive suspension and rear wheel steering. I test drove the new X5 and was impressed with the drive and handling, and thought about ordering one, but I never really liked the iDrive complexity and the front kidney grill just turned me off. I'm glad I did as my friend's X5 has so many electrical gremlins, it is at the dealer for the past 4 weeks. I test drove the Q8 and decide to order one. It arrived yesterday and I picked it up today. On the drive home, the car felt planted to the ground and more sportier ride than the Q7. The new MMI was very easy to learn, just need to keep a microfiber cloth to remove the fingerprints. Will post a more detailed review later.

Agree with your thoughts on the q8 vs q7. Feels wider, sportier. I think the 22 wheels make a difference.
i keep the suspension and steering on sport/dynamic and the engine on auto (individual settings).
Aside from the lag on start from an incomplete stop, no real issues for me
You’re going to love this car.
