Is there a way to access the computer to let vidoes play on the infotainment system without voiding the warranty? It's a shame to have those great screens there and not be able to watch anything.

That's more for safety purposes. Even if parked I don't think the screens have the best ppi to watch videos decently.

So what are those videos you see on YouTube for q7 2017 vehicles where they just stick a video file (unknown file type) on a SD Card, stick it in the card slot, and it shows up on the screen as a selection. Selecting it, the video plays. I was expecting, the q8 would work the same. Though would never personally use it.

we'll when I owned Mercedes I activated it because I loved watching music clips .. but only because Mercedes has a higher position screen ..
I would never do it in my q8 because it has low position screen it would distract me !!
