Clicking Noise While Driving
Does anyone have a fix for this? My 2012 R8 passenger side door hinge clicks when the body flexes. It can be easily replicated by driving up an incline like a driveway or parking lot entrance on an angle.
Seems like we have traced this to the top hinge pin. At least that is where the noise is coming from. Tried oiling it - minimal results. Tightened the pin set screw minimal results.
Very annoying and unacceptable in a fine German car!

Might want to check the latch on the door post. As the door seals age the latch might need adjustment. My R8 is ok but our A8 rear door clicked. Used the TORX drive, loosened the latch bar, tapped it inward less than 1/8 inch, tightened it and all was quiet. Also you might want to ensure that it is aligned vertically by pulling the outer door handle up as you close the door. You'll be able to feel if the latch bar is out of alignment vertically.
