Is this too much black?

Those look like the stock wheels either painted or powdercoated

Carbon fiber what? If you are refering to the side blades I don't see that reflected on your order.

That's between my dealer and I. I'll be more specific when the time comes. And yes... blades

Default The reason I picked Daytona Gray is because of the amount of color in it

Every time I've seen a Daytona Gray R8 in person I've been fascinated by the different shades of color it reflects depending on lighting conditions. Check the color of the car in my sig.

Default Looks ordinary, not as nice as stock wheels

Boring, don't think it helps the car. Daytona is also a dull choice, would (was) my last choice. Black or silver.

Default A little dark in my opinion...but maybe the titanium on daytona which i must say i like.

obviously. May get R8 in Daytona too but not sure when time comes i want two cars the same color but i do think the black will be too much. the stock wheels (which those look like just painted black) are a great design...i think the audi titanium finish would be enough to give the unique (menacing) look but still highlight the clean design...which is what i like on my RS6 with my current combo.

I am completely down with the dark side. i love the aspect that black wheels bring to the vehicle, seeming to disguise the wheels completely and enhancing the look-ability of the whole vehicle. All of my vehicles have had either matt black or polished black in their lives and I feel that it is a great look. The only thing I would change is for the wheels to be a multispoke wheel (16-20 spokes) rather than a 5 double spoke.
just my 2 cents
