Default R8 Registry Update: 350 cars

All US cars built in 2007 (MY 2008) are now listed. The 60%-40% split between R-Tronic vs. Manual has held very steady since the beginning. I am not sure if this is intentional or a mere coincidence.

As with the RS4's, black, gray and silver are the most popular colors. Black is the favorite interior color by a very wide margin.

Default Definitely more than 250 are coming to the US...

Since 350 are already built or pulled for production. Audi will likely continue building MY 2008 cars until late summer and then switch to the MY 2009 cars. I don't know how the cars will be allocated between the US and other countries.

Default 1,000?

Audi sold 70 in December, 240 in 07
Based on that, Audi could perhaps sell a 1,000 or so a year. Especially after the super bowl ad.

But that would be around 25% of all R8s built each year, and Audi can sell them for more in other places.

Default So far AoA projections are on target

Originally 200, then bumped to 300 bassed on demand for calander year 2007 as MY 2008. Over 30 are corporate cars, so the 300 number was very close for CY 2007.

CY 2008 with both MY 2008 & MY 2009 should see less than 800 additional cars to the US.

Default One is all CAPS, the other is upper/lowercase

Different emails, different locations, different people just both apparently liked the name. I don't bother verifying AudiWorld ID's for the list though. Good eye, BTW.

sorry about any confusion. When I chose my ID, I did not realize it was taken before.
