I noticed that dealers are charging major premium over sticker price for the new Audi R8. As much as the base Lambo Gallardo.

The majority of Audi dealers have been honoring MSRP to clients who have ordered a car. The same dealers who've purchased "dealer cars" and\or brokers, are selling them for profit at market price.

The Gallardo is not really a useable car like the R8 and the R8 handles better in the real world. Having now driven both, I can say that the R8 feels about 10 years ahead of the Gallardo from a technological standpoint. Expect the MSRP of the R8 to go up considerably in the next 12 months.

Will cause all German cars to skyrocket in price in the next year or two. Not good for us here in USA who want German cars.

Porsche has to make the decision as well. Audi is losing money BIGTIME on the R8 at its current USA MSRP.

For same amount as a Lamborghini would prefer the looks and style of the Gallardo as the R8. Both are great cars but something about an Italian exotic stirs the soul. Anyways its a long time before I even worry about dropping as much on a new car as a
house.

The Gallardo is just not that useable. I also think they will be dated quickly with the angular lines. Besides, it's called a baby Lambo or Murcis little sister. I wouldn't want that.

Name me one car in the history of automobiles that has increased it's MSRP by 40% in the first year. In fact, name me one that has increased by 20%. You simply have no idea what you're saying.

You've obviously ordered one, and are hoping for a big increase. Given that the dollar decline started way before the MSRP was established, you should give Audi a bit more credit.

Once the V10 is introduced, the value of the V8 will decline significantly.
