Hello, I recently aquired this vehicle, abandoned in an O'Reilly parking lot. It runs and drives excellent but I have a couple questions regarding done of the features in this car.
1. I had to install a aftermarket stereo because the stock Bose stereo wouldn't turn off with the ignition. It would have to be turned off manually via the ****. But when on without a key inserted and the door open the buzzer would go off until you turned the radio back off. Was told that those were designed that way. Is that true?
I am also curious as to where the Bose amp is located because the aftermarket stereo now causes the speakers to "pop" every time the radio turns on or off and changes modes.
2. The rear passenger tail light was smashed and I have since replaced it but I noticed there is only one bulb socket for the rear fog light. Is that normal?
3. I am also fighting the bulb monitor. I have changed all the bulbs in the car and it randomly sounds an alert and shows the icon on the dash. When the car is cold it works fine but when it warms up the monitor sounds and stays on until the next morning.
I can't find any information on this specific car and I would hate to get rid of it because of getting annoyed by these simple issues. Please help!
