2017 MMI old iPod Playlists
2017 Q7, learned hard way new MMI only recognizes iPod Touch, or iPhone. Bought new iPod Touch and happy until synced new Playlists for Christmas music, the MMI still thinks all the old playlists are there on the iPod, even though the iPod does not list them on its own. When select old list, the MMI says no content in that list. Can't get it to not read the old playlists. Tried factory reset of iPod, and new name for iPod, but nothing. Also acts funny since upgrade to iOS 11, now 11.2, goes back to whole playlist at end of each song and then displays next song....
Any help out there? I'll try the Audi tech support as well, but they were less than helpful with the old iPod compatibility issue.....

Audi suggested I reset the MEDIA to factory defaults using the VEHICLE menu option. I did, and it cleared out all the entries the system saved for the iPod AND my SD cards. Then when accessing them for the first time again, it rebuilt the list of available songs/albums/artists/playlists etc. It seems I will have to do this anytime I delete content from my iPod. The SD cards work fine, but you can't have playlists on them, just albums....

It worked perfectly for me thank you so much for the advice. I use the iTouch and recently updated to iOS 11 which was a big mistake. I keep getting duplicate songs and the names of the songs sometimes do not switch among other small glitches which I don't mind so much but hoping the next update will fix the issues. Keep me updated if you fix any of the other errors. If I hear anything I will update you as well.
