My 2012 A3 aftermarket stereo problem has been so frustrating.

Bought a Sony CarPlay unit with all accessories to hook up to steering wheel controls from Crutchfield several months ago

Install was super easy BUT when we hooked up the battery and started the car to listen, several warning lights were on-
low tire pressure
steering issue
abs warning
traction control warning

We have worked with Crutchfield since the install to get the lights to go off but nothing has worked. They finally told us it has something to do with the aftermarket steering wheel control interface interfering with the CAN system and after much discussion they have no solution.

We have reinstalled the factory unit and all is well again.

Anyone have ave any idea on a solution? ApplePlay is pretty sweet and I miss it so

FYI- The steering wheel interface was made by a company called PAK.
