a4 b8 keyless retrofit (again)
So, i have read so many topics about keyles entry, starting from (buy car with it and ending *too costy to do*)
I have 2008 a4 3.2 195 manual quattro, with symphony, audi drive select.
i have already managed to get my hand on these things:
4G8 927 753 A 4pcs door handle sensors 73,20 euro each
8K0 907 247 3pcs aerial sensors 26.04 each
8K0 905 217 A 1 pcs start stop button 44.70euro
8K0 919 132 1pcs boot aerial sensor cover 4.47euro
8K0 864 261 g V10 1 pcs, gear changer panel trim, with audi drive select and with engine start/stop button hole. 77.25 euro.
Wiring, this is minor issue, is this correct that i need new convinience module and at least 1 new kessy keyfob ?
module itself has that 32pin connector, but no pins inside.. what if i solder those pins to the pcb on the module .. ?
A trip to the dealer, well .. i have a good friend who works there .. he just said that he have heard of this, but never seen it done.
Have anyone completed this retrofit ?
If you want to ask why .. then just .. let the key stay in the pocket, not in ignition switch, and it's pretty nice to have 1 button more.
Thank you

Installed door handle sensors, aerials, button, trim and finished wiring.
Made nessesary codings.
Start-stop button does stop the engine, but when trying to start, it says no key detected.
Well, i did it see coming, because my keyfob is without second transmitter.
Question is, dealer by their *rules* can't order me *kessy* keyfob or either match it with the vehicle, what are my chances getting a kessy keyfob and there comes a second question, matching it with the car ?

I don't know the key part numbers, but the letter at the end of Audi parts seems to be a "revision" number. For example, G is a newer revision than C which is newer than A. They are all supposed to work the same though.

Yes, you are right.
Key what has been ordered is 8K0 959 754 K, it's part number is changed to something like 4K0 959 754 D, audi said it's practically the same key.

Well having done this retrofit you need to change the comfort module too and keys to advanced keys if you do not have the start button. I have retrofitted both keyless start (GO) and keyless entry successfully, however I had a problem with the keyless entry activation where Audi could not activate this for me, even after spending 2-3 hours of charged time.
If you have the start button you should already have the advanced key and the proper comfort unit. You will only need the keyless entry harness the sensors and the extra 2 door antennas to the rear doors (+ magnets).
Spending hours of research, found out 2 methods to activate keyless entry.
1. VCP diagnostic (software and cable).
2. SRT CAN-CONNECT activation software, with obd-link SX usb obd2 cable .
Tried second activation procedure since I already had obd-link SX at home, and keyless entry was activated successfully.
To do this retrofit it is easier if you buy the harness which comes with the step by step guide (was in german). Then you need to get the Audi electrical manual, translate the german guide and confirm all steps (I found a couple of mistakes).
Regarding the other matterial:
1. 4 Anennas I bought second hand from ebay
2. door sensors from china
3. Start button original from ebay
4. revised center console from germany (I got the one with ADS and start button additional slots)
5. door magnets
6. Comfort unit connector
7. Revised Comfort unit
8. advanced key
Two last procedures:
9 Audi to learn the Comfort unit and advanced key to your vehicle. (they are not able to activate the keyless entry) however the start button will work.
10. Activate the keyless entry using one of the 2 methods above.
