A8 speakers only working on left
 

Audi a8 tdi 2004 Bose system
After updating my mmi to 5570 witch seemed to go very smooth I have noticed the speakers are only working on the left on CD/radio. They all work with navi.

I believe this is due to Component protection. Mine only works on the left side on radio, I don't have nav. I scanned and sure enough it was CP. Need to take it to a dealer to have it removed.


It is weird that it happened when you updated the software, but I have heard of this happening. If it is the only module with CP I have heard of people having the dealer removing it for free as it is a 'known' (by some) glitch. I would have the audi CD update parts #s handy so you can tell them this is what you used, they might try to say you downloaded a bad version off the internet.


Also, 5570 is for the EU not USA - at least on my 2007 A6. For US 4460 is the latest I believe - MMI 2G high.
