I have bought an audi a8 2008 with ami unit and cd changer in the glovebox. Im looking forward to find a way to stream music from external device ipod etc and bought a 30 pin ami cable (please see attached photo) now im thinking what kind of ipod will be compatible with my system because i see a lot of people have issues as their ipods are not compatible with ami or mmi. Any answers are apreciated. Maybe there is a a thread aboit this already just drop the link if so many thanks!

Not sure if the AMI port is the same in both vehicles, but I got an AMI to sub cord on amazon and use a USB thumb drive (128Gb for now) for it. Works great!

Sorry, should have said, but I have a 2014 A8L. The cable was like $10 on Amazon so worth a try even if it doesn't work?! And my original post should have said AMI to USB (not sub!) autocorrect got me!
