It's a very big pain in the neck...
The easiest way to get wiring through the grommet in the door is to pull the grommet away from the door jamb (just pull on the rubber grommet, and it will give you a little room). The opening in the fuse panel is a round foam disc about two inches in diameter--it's up near the hood release handle, and it already has wires running through it. Slide a coathanger into the center of this disc--at the same time, try to get your fingers into the opening of the grommet to receive the end of the coathanger. Once you get this part done, running the wire from the grommet into the door should be a piece of cake.
