Apple Carplay works for one iPhone but not the other
My wife and I each have an iPhone X, but in my 2018 Q7, only my iPhone will initiate Apple Carplay when connected via USB. My wife's iPhone will not initiate CarPlay.
Does anyone know how to set it up so that both iPhones will initiate CarPlay?
Would going to wireless CarPlay help (and if so, how to set that up)?

there is no wireless carplay in a Q7
Connection Manager is where you should be able to setup which, if not both, phones show carplay. Remember that both phones need whatever the latest ios software is as well

In the top menu of Connection Manager I had been looking for something that says "Carplay", but it turns out Carplay only appears in a submenu under "Audi Smartphone".
Your suggestion prompted me to take a second look at Connection Manager submenus to get to Carplay options, and then it was easy to select the phones to use Carplay. It works like a charm!
Thanks very much.

Yep, it will say "Smartphone" until it recognizes a device - Carplay shows for an Apple, AndroidAuto shows for a droid
