I am trying to find someone who can give definitive advise on adding an ami unit to my Audi
I have Audi A6 C6 2007 2.4 quattro avant
It has the monochrome red displays
And a single cd player in the glove box. Although this seems to be the main head unit too as it says MMI 2g basic plus on top. And has a quad lock multi way connector on the rear along with 2 x fibre optic and 2 other cables,

I have a AMI retrofit kit with leads but the power lead is the same as on the ami and obviously wont connect to the big quad lock connector.

I have read lots of threads on this but nobody seems to have this MMI Basic Plus with Cd player as head unit too, so no links to power connections.
There is also a lot of talk about software updates , is this an issue . Mine is 0410 which seems miles away from some numbers quoted on here.

Maybe this system just isnt compatible, I just need someone "In the Know" to point me the right way..
