Default Sirius XM Question

Hey guys,

New to the forum. Love the info. My question relates less to Audi and more to Sirius but I'm sure someone here knows. I recently purchased an Audi from a guy who had prepaid his satellite radio subscription but the channel list is not the same as the one on Sirius' website.

Is there a way for me to update the channels or do I have to wait for when the subscription goes in my name?

Thanks.

Sirius changed their entire channel lineup last week.

The Audi system SHOULD have automatically updated. Mine did as soon as I started the car that morning - and it ported all my preset stations to the new channel number for me.

I wonder if Sirius needs to send a specific signal down to let receivers know they need to update their list? Maybe it only happens so often....

Depending on your year the stations may not change automatically - My XM on the RS4 did not. - I have not looked at the Q5 yet.

Thanks for the replies. I have an 09. I think I am going to call Sirius, I am hoping all I need is the ESN as that's all I've got.

Just go to the radio and add the stations you want.
