Can someone tell me how to replace or repair broken antenna wire on 2005 Audi A4 Cabriolet w/Bose speakers? I know which wire it is but have no idea how to trace it from trunk to radio & replace it myself. I read about finding the kink in the wire, cutting it out & bridging it with copper wire but was told that cannot be done with a coaxial type wire. Audio places near me have not been helpful & only suggest: 1) use iphone for music; 2) subscribe to satellite radio; 3) install external antenna!

I wanted to fit an aftermarket radio into my 2005 A4 Cabriolet. It says in the user manual it's 9VD, active loudspeaker, with Concert HU, 8UD.
I'd bought a harness CT53-AU03, half-bose, on the advice of the shop after sending photos of the connectors.
First problem was that the radio wouldn't turn on. Finally, realized that the permanent +12 V connection was on a different pin. When I managed to change t0 use the under ignition wire managed to get the radio working.
However, only the front dash speakers give any sound, the front and rear door speakers don't give any sound.
Doesn't anyone know which harness I should be using i.e. Bose, Non-bose or Half-bose, or if this is something fundamental I'm missing?

You could try and bring up the wiring diagrams document for the B6/B7 on cardiagn.com. Or check the B6 or B7 forum, whichever you are, to see if anyone has posted or has to post any of the workshop manuals, specifically the wiring diagrams document. But likely to find more traffic there than here.
