I have the 3.0 a4 cabriolet. Unfortunately lately engine goes off wen a circle with a triangle in the middle appears on my dash. Sometime after parking for a while it stop. Pe I have to take of terminals for a while for that fault to go. What could the problem be? I have had to change fuel pump n airflow meter. I'm in Ghana.

Did you try to diagnose your car from a scanner? did you find any codes? Try check the coil or electrical lines going to spark plugs or check the air intake connections if it is clogged or it could be a vacuum leaks.

Are you sure it's no the stop start that's kicking in ? If so you'd see this on the dash :





However, the only other circle with a triangle in the middle warning light I know of is this :



And this indicates an ESP fault.
